The HI-PEITHO trial has brought significant progress in the treatment of moderate-risk pulmonary embolism (PE). It focused on the use of ultrasound-guided thrombolysis (CDT) as a new method. The results of the study indicate the potential of CDT in improving the treatment of this type of pulmonary embolism. HI-PEITHO is considered a breakthrough study in this field.
