The study analyzed auricular therapy for gastrointestinal dysfunction after laparoscopic surgeries using data mining of 118 articles retrieved from Chinese and English databases up to April 30, 2025. It included 28 types of auricular acupuncture points used a total of 632 times, with the most common points being stomach, colon, and small intestine. Analysis of association rules revealed 48 rules with a lift value greater than 1, showing significant correlations between point combinations. Cluster analysis grouped the 28 points into five clusters and network analysis identified 12 strong connections. The basic protocol consists of stomach-colon-Sanjiao acupuncture, supplemented with sympathetic and Shenmen modules. The results provide a reference for clinical practice and recommend further validation in multicenter studies with modern diagnostics.
