The article is a systematic review of large language models (LLM) in clinical medicine, which was produced with the help of LLM. The review analyzed more than 1,000 studies. Despite the increase in medical research involving LLMs, most studies do not include real-world clinical data. The study was published in Nature Medicine online on March 3, 2026 with DOI: 10.1038/s41591-026-04229-5. The main finding shows that LLM research in medicine is growing, but applications to real clinical data are lacking.
