The study examined the perceptions of 201 participants (68 faculty members, 16 teaching assistants, and 117 medical students) at Alfaisal University in Riyadh regarding the integration of artificial intelligence teaching modules into medical curricula. Most respondents expressed favorable perceptions, highlighting AI's potential to inspire innovation, improve efficiency, increase clinical accuracy, and expand medical specialties. Respondents also identified concerns including increased workload, resistance to change, concerns about job replacement and over-reliance on technology. More than half of respondents (55.7%) recommended introduction of AI during the preclinical years of study, while 32.8% preferred introduction during the clinical years. The study concluded that there is strong support for early integration of AI into the medical curriculum. The findings provide evidence for curriculum development and the preparation of future physicians for AI-oriented practice.
