In a 62-year-old woman with tuberculous peritonitis, peritoneal and perihepatic nodes were absorbed during antituberculosis treatment. Contrast-enhanced CT scan of the abdomen revealed a solid mass on the anterior wall of the stomach. A gradual spread of abdominal tuberculosis into the stomach wall was detected. Gastric body tuberculosis is extremely rare and easily overlooked or misdiagnosed. The diagnosis was confirmed by endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) with pathological examination. In patients with perigastric tuberculous lesions, regular CT follow-up is important. If necessary, the combination of gastroscopy with EUS-FNA will help in early diagnosis.
