A large study found no link between the mRNA vaccine against COVID-19 during or just before pregnancy and autism in children. The researchers followed more than 400 toddlers. They assessed children's speech, motor skills, behavior and social development. They found no meaningful differences between the children of vaccinated and unvaccinated mothers. Experts say the results provide strong reassurance about the vaccine's safety in pregnancy.
