OpenAI has introduced a new service, ChatGPT Health, which allows users to securely upload their health records and link them to the ChatGPT AI system[1]. The service includes specially designed encryption and isolation to protect health conversations, and OpenAI guarantees that these conversations are not used to train its models[1]. The service was developed in collaboration with more than 260 doctors from 60 countries, who provided more than 600,000 feedbacks on model outputs in 30 medical specialties[1]. Users can upload medical records, test results, and link apps like Apple Health, Function, and MyFitnessPal so ChatGPT can help understand test results, prepare for medical appointments, or provide advice on diet and exercise[2]. The service is currently available to a small group of users outside of the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK, with health record integration and some applications only available in the US[1]. OpenAI plans to expand the service's availability to all users on the web and iOS in the coming weeks[1].
