[original] From January 1, 2026, the minimum advance payment for disability insurance is €60.96, which must be paid no later than February 8, 2026.[1] From the same date, contributions to aids for persons with severe disabilities will increase by up to thousands of euros for seven aids.[5] A dependency allowance is being introduced, which will be received directly by the dependent person and will depend on the degree of dependency, with a maximum of 1010 euros in the highest degree plus 200 euros for the child.[6][2] The position of a long-term care worker will be created with 36 nursing tasks covered by public health insurance and the 80-hour limit for formal care will be abolished.[2][3][6] From July 1, 2026, higher territorial units will participate in the co-financing of non-public facilities for seniors and nursing services.[2]
